Jessica Briscoe Coleman, M.S., A.T.C., M.P.T.
Physical Therapist
Jessica Briscoe Coleman, PT, is a Licensed Physical Therapist and a Certified Athletic Trainer. She began practicing orthopedic and sports-medicine therapy in 1991, working with patients to facilitate their optimal healing from acute- and chronic-pain problems, work- and sports-related injuries and post-surgical issues.
Jessica received her Bachelor of Science in Health Science and Athletic Training from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia in 1991. In 1993, she received a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences and Exercise Physiology from the University of Hawaii in Honolulu, and in 1996, Jessica obtained a Master of Physical Therapy degree from Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois.
Having been educated in and had the opportunity to practice physical therapy in diverse parts of the country, Jessica has gained expertise in a wide variety of treatment techniques. With this training, Jessica is able to focus holistically on patients and respond to their particular needs and abilities by employing manual therapy, progressive resistive exercise, neuromuscular rehabilitation or a combination of these therapies. Jessica also incorporates patient education into her PT sessions so that clients can learn to provide self-treatments between their office appointments. This empowers patients to actively engage in their own healing process, accelerate achievement of their own health goals and maintain the enhanced mobility and flexibility they gain through physical therapy.
To better serve her patients, Jessica is constantly updating her PT knowledge and skills by taking continuing-education classes, especially those emphasizing manual techniques and treatment through exercise.
