Please Welcome Dr. Michel “Mitch” Moreau
Dear Kaplan Center Community,
There has been a lot of excitement here at The Kaplan Center recently. Last week we announced the addition of our new nutritionist, Chardonée Donald. Today, it is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I introduce you to our new physician, Dr. Michel “Mitch” Moreau.
As an Integrative Medicine physician, Dr. Mitch is highly skilled in Osteopathic, Naturopathic, Holistic, Functional, and Western medicines. He firmly believes in personalized care and recognizes that every patient is unique and requires an individualized treatment plan. His specialties include treating musculoskeletal disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, men’s health concerns, neurological disorders, and Lyme disease and co-infections.
Dr. Mitch understands the complexities of living with chronic pain and illness and how deeply they affect the mind, body, and spirit. Most importantly for our patients, he understands what needs to be done to improve not just the injury or symptoms but also the patient’s quality of life. Dr. Mitch will be an invaluable asset to our medical team and will provide exceptional care to our patients.
His experience and training have taken him all over the world and we are thrilled that he has chosen The Kaplan Center as his new home. Please join me in welcoming Dr. Mitch to our practice.

Letter to Patients
Dear Patients,
My name is Michel Moreau, I am a licensed physician with over three decades of experience in health care. I have specialized in Integrative Medicine with an emphasis on musculoskeletal disorders using a combination of conventional, osteopathic, and natural therapy treatments. I also treat dysfunctions affecting the body systems whether it is gastrointestinal, neurological, or any other system. Integrative medicine treats the whole person, so nothing is ignored.
Throughout my career I have been able to address my patient’s needs in Europe, in Canada and in the US. I have acquired training and experience from various institutions and have been able to deliver my services to a very wide spectrum of patients in urban as well as in rural settings. From my home place in the Loire Valley in France, to the shores of Aberdeen, Scotland, or Prince-Edward-Island, Canada, to the busy hospitals of Brooklyn, NY, and the Green Mountain of Vermont, my work and learning have taken me to places where I met many wonderful people, patients, and situations. I have learned that medicine is a limitless sphere of discovery to help others and I continue my quest for further knowledge so I can help you.
My mission is to provide outstanding care to my patients by guiding them through the tortuous paths of health and illness and helping them reach their full potential whether it affects their physical, emotional, or mental well-being. Far from imposing a treatment plan, I wish to engage in a discussion on your hopes and goals so I can help you reach your targets. Together, we can select the various tools that integrative medicine offers to make you feel better and improve your health. I will be working closely with Dr. Gary and Dr. Lisa and the whole team, so each patient receives the very best outcome for their health.
My pastimes involve biking, hiking, and kayaking. I love to travel with my wife to various destinations. We have two rescue dogs. Although very jumpy, they are lovely company! And finally, I have no parental affiliation to the fiction character in “The Island of Dr. Moreau”.
Bonne santé!
Thank you and see you soon,
Dr. Michel Moreau (aka Dr. Mitch)
